Recent Rhode Island Weather

The weather in Rhode Island has been quite unpredictable lately, with sudden changes in temperature, precipitation and wind. In this blog post, I will share some of the highlights and challenges of the recent weather patterns, as well as some tips on how to cope with them.
One of the most notable events was the remarkable weather was the tornado that touched down in Coventry on September 20th, causing damage to several buildings and vehicles. The tornado was rated EF-1, with winds of up to 110 mph. It was the first tornado to hit Rhode Island since 2018, and only the 11th since 1950. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the affected communities received assistance from local authorities and volunteers.
The weather in Rhode Island has also been influenced by the remnants of several tropical storms and hurricanes that passed through the Atlantic Ocean this season. These systems brought heavy rain, strong winds and coastal flooding to parts of the state, especially along the south shore.
