Just a quick update on the renovation of my basement.  Slow, very Slow.  I expected that this project would take a long time seeing that I have been working on it by myself.  Also, when I realized that not one wall in the basement is either square or plumb, I knew I would have issues.

The wall that I built to separate what is my office and what will be a workshop is now complete. I have primed, and painted all of the walls and trim in the basement. Pulling up the old carpet, now that was a different story…  Whoever finished the basement in the house, installed the carpeting before the baseboards and doors were installed.  This means that I had to chisle out the carpet and carpet metals from under the door frames and there is now a 1/2 to 3/4 inch gap between the cement floor and the bottom of the baseboards.
